Lam Kinh – A Journey into Vietnam’s Historic Past Nestled in the Tho Xuan district of Thanh Hoa, Lam Kinh is a special national relic that holds within it the enigmatic tales of Vietnam’s most prosperous feudal era. Originally known as Lam Son, this area was the homeland of the revered national hero, Le Loi (1385-1433). It was here that Le Loi led the courageous Lam Son uprising against the Chinese Ming invaders from 1418 to 1428, ultimately claiming victory. In 1428, Le Loi ascended the throne as Le Thai To, marking the inception of the Later Le dynasty.
