The aforementioned entities solidified their partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signifying their unified goal of promoting Singapore as a prime destination for Vietnamese travelers seeking leisure or business opportunities.
Singapore has long been a pivotal market for Vietnam Airlines in Southeast Asia. Over three decades since the inauguration of the first route connecting the two nations, the flag carrier has facilitated travel for over 8.1 million passengers.
As of now, Vietnam Airlines operates 21 weekly flights, seamlessly linking Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Singapore. In 2024 alone, the airline accommodated more than 400,000 passengers on these routes, with the number reaching 116,000 in the first four months of 2025.

The Pakistan Academy of Letters is embarking on an ambitious project to translate two iconic Vietnamese literary works into Urdu, the national language of Pakistan. The first is “Truyen Kieu,” a masterpiece by the legendary poet Nguyen Du. This epic tale, known for its intricate verse and profound exploration of human resilience, has captivated generations of readers. The second work is “Nhat Ky Trong Tu,” a powerful prison diary penned by the late President Ho Chi Minh. An intimate and insightful account of his time in captivity, it offers a unique perspective on history and the human spirit. By translating and publishing these works, the Academy aims to bring the rich cultural heritage of Vietnam to Urdu speakers, fostering a deeper appreciation of world literature and promoting cultural exchange between the two nations.
